What Is Radon Mitigation Facilitation?

Radon mitigation facilitation is the support process that follows elevated radon test results.

While mitigation systems are installed by specialized remediation professionals, RVA Radon remains involved to help you understand your results, connect with trusted mitigation providers, and confirm that the system successfully reduces radon levels.

To maintain objectivity and accuracy, RVA Radon does not perform mitigation installation but provides coordination and support throughout the process, including post-remediation testing.

This separation ensures unbiased testing, transparent results, and confidence in the effectiveness of the mitigation system.

When Radon Mitigation Is Necessary

Radon mitigation is recommended when test results exceed the EPA’s action level.

Elevated radon levels increase long-term health risks, and mitigation systems are designed to reduce radon concentrations to safer levels inside the home or building.

Because radon levels can vary by structure, soil conditions, and airflow, post-mitigation testing is essential. Retesting confirms that the system is working as intended and that radon levels have been successfully reduced.

Who This Service Is For

Radon mitigation facilitation is available exclusively to RVA Radon testing clients.

This service is provided when:

  • RVA Radon has performed the initial radon testing.
  • Test results indicate elevated radon levels.
  • Mitigation is recommended to reduce exposure.

By limiting this service to our testing clients, we ensure continuity, accuracy, and informed follow-up throughout the process.

Client Reviews

Five black stars in a row.

April is one of the most trustworthy business owners I've ever met. It's easy to see that she's a good person and cares about others. You can tell she really cares about the impact radon can have and that she wants to do everything to get the levels as low as possible. She's very responsive. She's also very transparent when it comes to quotes for the mitigation side of things which is greatly appreciated. We are having her facilitate our mitigation system installation and I feel great knowing she's looking out for us and getting us the best person she knows for this kind of work.

Five black stars in a row.

My fiancé and I hired April to help us test and later install a radon mitigation system in our first home. She was not only knowledgeable, but also took any and all opportunities to explain steps through the process. Even on install day (which was with Sam who was amazing) she stopped by to check that everything was being done to her standards. I cannot recommend her enough!

FAQs

  • Do you install radon mitigation systems?

RVA Radon does not install mitigation systems; we facilitate the process by providing guidance, referrals, and post-mitigation testing to ensure unbiased results. We're here to support you after testing.
